Look.. I sold my 2021 LT Trailboss with the 6.2L to Vroom.com on August 13th.. so 5 weeks ago.
Sticker on it was just over 57K.. (drove off the lot at 50 with TTL) I put 2K in accessories on it. Sold it to them for 56K.. so I made money off of it after owning it for 8 months and putting 2200 miles on it. Vroom posted it at 63K.. it sat for 2 weeks - stoooooopid price They dropped the price to 60.5K.. it sat for 2 weeks They dropped the price again to 57.5K.. it sat They dropped the price again this week to 55K.. They are already under water.. I think the market is quickly going cold I could post a link to my old truck.. but you can find it if you want. Vroom - Search Chevy - Silverado - 2021 - sort by high price.. and you will see a beautiful blue Trailboss for 55K... and the interior damage they note.. was caused by them.. phuckers! Quick video for your enjoyment. Chad Hall was basically beating on this truck for a few years already.

I don't know why i'm surprised, but GM priced the ZR2 above the Raptor MSRP. About 1K higher. $66,795. I really thought they'd try to undercut it given it's not as capable.

They should, you can get a "stripper" TRX. still 70k but no fancy interior crap.

It depends. It seems like the ZR2 is packaged like the Colorado model, pretty well equipped with almost all the option boxes already checked. I don't know how the "base" Raptor comes. I'd guess GM is also banking on the Silverado having a V8 vs the Raptor's EcoBoost and the Silverado being more daily driver friendly.

Very true; At one point even both GM trucks were beaten by F150. Nice to finally rise above the frey.

I looked at the Ordering Guide and yeah, a ZR2 is High Country levels of equipment. There's even stuff optional on High Country that are standard on ZR2.

$72K gets you a pretty nicely equipped Raptor with leather and a lots of fun electronics. Sure, if you go all out and add the upgraded performance package and trim kits and what not you can go way higher than that.

It’s amazing how GM charges more for less. The Raptor gets a unique engine and swaps to a 4 link rear end. I don’t know I’m surprised anymore.
And no, I don’t care about the high country interior. I don’t want nice leather when I’m off roading. My Colorado Z71 has an OK interior but I don’t care if I drag dirt and mud in when I’m off roading. It’s frustrating how GM gets like 90% of it right, but then falls apart at the last 10%.

I'm kinda disappointed in the strategy as well.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the 2022 Silverado ZR2 will start at $65,100. That amount does not the include the destination freight charge (DFC) of $1,695 USD. The combined amount is $66,795 USD.
