New Broncos Manual Trans take rate higher than expected...

Maybe the manual trans isn't quite dead yet...Ford expects the take rate to be even higher once other models are available...

All my buddies that a "real jeep" guys like manuals. So no surprise to me, and I am glad.

I read a couple of other articles that suggested the "die-hards" had ordered most of the first Broncos as manuals, that later the take rate may taper off...

Others think not offering a manual on all their Bronco models is a mistake. Ford may actually lose out on a lot of sales because no manual is offered.

Personally, I think it's a mistake to not offer it across the board, especially on an off-road vehicle.

The manual take rate will plummet...no doubt, but not until after the big first wave of enthusiasts get their hands on their Bronco.

Oh yeah, #savethemanuals has lost the war unfortunately. At least though there are a few options out there still.

The bigger problem is on certain models, adding a option package removes the manual.

On the Big Bend, Blackdiamond trims if you get the mid package you are forced to the auto transmission. Only trim you can load up with a manual is the Badlands trim

Even on my Colorado, I could only get a MT if I was willing to choose the anemic 4 cyl base work truck. Boo GM.
