In the meantime I will be leaving it in tour mode until I figure out a tangible solution or cause of the problem.

Walk in tell them you want the fluid swapped and pay the $150 and get the fluid swapped at the dealer. Not a flush. OE spec fluid. Tons of Trucks with basically the same trans that tow get this done every 45,000. Maybe you had a little dirt in it from new or moisture. It’s fine just get new clean fluid in it. No pan drop, just pop the lines and exchange the fluid. Def don’t take it to a shop where they pressure flush it

I can do at dealer? If for that price that’s not a bad deal for some comfort and I could also report back to see if that was the issue. I just have a feeling it’s software or tune related due to the fact that it has no issue in tour, and only in sport? Either way, at that price I will be doing a fluid EXCHANGE not a pressure flush if I can find it or get at dealer.

More like an 'I know I'm supposed to shift but maybe I'll hang here for a bit...AND NOW SHIFT' kind of feeling. But only on one gear change.

Like I said, not driving around WOT all the time. I try to ease past that shift, usually, sometimes...

Bumping this subject.. feedback was okay, looking for someone else with same issue. Haven’t replicated problem since leaving in tour mode.

Does it do it in track mode as well? When you romp on the car in track or sport mode it will go into performance shift mode and the trans will shift super hard. If you don’t romp on it, it will shift just like tour mode

Tons of people change the fluid. At least change the fluid I would suggest. You also never know there could be a service bulletin for this issue you are describing.

An LT1 does not have a Track Mode. sport, tour, snow/ice. It’s not competitive mode I am awfully familiar with that feature

I haven’t thought much of it because I’ve been trying to diagnose the issue- trans temps- never go above 145ish. So I decide to throw the car in tour which I rarely have it in anymore just to see what happens and sure enough every shift was smooth as butter all the way home. This is the only time I haven’t noticed the rough 2-3 shift under WOT was while I was in tour. I typically stay in sport due to tighter steering and what I believed was a more responsive and engaging rpm response. However the rough 2-3 shift makes me cringe every time and I definitely don’t think it’s great for the 10L80. Has anyone else experienced this issue after a GM PERF CAI W/tune? Or experienced this issue at all on a stock LT1 ONLY while in sport? My theory is something weird about the tune GM used didn’t flash all modes or it’s just a shit tune (very likely). Anyways I’m very inexperienced with cars in general from what I understand it almost sounds like the fuel is being cut too much during that 2-3 shift. Anyways all thoughts help. Thanks all

Possibly ralated?

Tuesday 8am dealer is reflashing. Let’s hope it’s not some EPA emissions Garbo and actually helps with my tune.

Dealer does not have a recall in their system, claimed I will get something in mail and or they will call me if they hear anything new. I likely just caught it early, offered me a free oil change when necessary to compensate for the miscommunication on their part. I am debating on whether to take the Camaro or play it safe with the Malibu on a 8hr trip to SC. I am not too worried either car will make it. Just worried about the unknowns of taking Camaro into unknown places. Either way I’m still overly satisfied with the LT1. I’m just overly paranoid as well. Dealer said based on what I described no flush necessary until at least 50k miles

Go in the LT1 and have fun, just leave it in Tour mode where your issue does not happen. You should be fine.
