The other night it was raining pretty good and I couldn't see the lines especially with oncoming traffic.

Now this could be my eyes, I'm 66 years old and wear glasses. But my eye doctor has never said anything about my night vision.

I'm thinking that maybe I should upgrade my headlight bulbs. The lens look ok. I drive a 2017 2LT RS Convertible.

Any suggestions? Besides hiring a chauffeur , which I couldn't afford anyway.
These cars have HID Xenon bulbs. Which are among the best out there you can use. You can replace them and get brighter ones, but I can tell you some of your issue of not seeing the lines is going to be you as well.

I have the same problem, and had this problem since I was 30, I'm 44 now and at night in rain especially on black top roads its very difficult to see the lines due to oncoming vehicle head lights.

I usually instinctively look down and to the right side at that line to guide me if I need to.

Hopefully you can figure something out to help.

If you ever drive/get caught in a thunderstorm the lines just disappear, old eyes or not. Thats where the reflective lines are nice.

Driving at night in the rain just sucks, it's not ideal and hard to see. I've tried yellow glasses to take the glare off (on my motorcycle), it helps, but it still just sucks. I will take driving at night in the rain though over snow storms and fog.
