Typically you don't need numbers for a track day, it's not a competition.

Sorry to contradict, but every track day I have done (many) have required numbers that were assigned and provided by the organizer. It allows the workers in the flag stations to identify problem drivers, i.e. holding up faster cars for multiple passing zones, passing without a point-by, mechanical issues, etc.

We've got 78 People signed up for Road Course this year - AWESOME!!!

There's still room if anyone's reading this and wants in...the original 75 was a target, not a hard limit.

I was wondering if there might be a parade lap at lunch time? I thought I saw something mentioned about a parade lap and then there seemed to be some objection to it. I am thinking that this is only for those who have paid for the track day and want to take someone around the track. I would think this could be sans helmets, too.

I have never been asked to add numbers to my vehicle(s) for a Track day (event).

No need... it's not a timed competition event.

I don't think we'll be using numbers. I can confirm...but we won't have very many cars out on the track at the same time - it'll be easy to black flag "the Blue car", etc...

Nooo. Not the Blue car. Why you gotta go and use the "blue" car as an example? Don't wanna be that blue car now.

Proper would be to Blue Flag the blue car first and then present a furled black flag. If the blue cars still doesn't give the signal, then unfurl the black flag.

Just kidding. The flag we all want to avoid it the dreaded Meatball.

Same here at my local track which is owned and run by our local SCCA.
