quiet down headers with corsa exhaust

I have 2010 SS with 1 7/8 long tube headers/no cats custom grind cam and corsa sport cat-back 486rwhp. It is obnoxiously loud looking for a cost efficient way to quiet it down. Wanting more of a sleeper. Thing of adding a magnaflow dual 2.5 in/out resonator 12468 or 11386 in mid section in front of corsa mufflers. Has anyone done this?

Thats an option but I think it may be still be loud. My stock mufflers had a strange rattle to them also.

I had the npp on mine from the factory and it was wayyy too quiete . Idk what to suggest bc most people want louder I thought

Start with high flow cats. Always work from engine back.

I was very concerned with getting my car too loud, especially since it's a convertible. LTs+HFCs into OE catback with NPP is just right for my tastes. Mellow muscle car below 3000, pretty rowdy above.

I still have the factory exhaust at home. I might try it out see if it helps. Some ppl like the straight headers sound I do not. It very loud with corsa and no cats especially at wot it sounds like a dragster. Tech at Lethal Racing told me that the corsa with headers and no cats 1 of the loudest setups.

I had a '96 Vette that I had the rear mufflers eliminated and put in the Magnaflow dual in/out in place of the stock resonator. With the cats in place it was perfect, without cats a little too loud.

I suggest a combination of High flow cats and the resonator. This should give you a nice aggressive rumble. The big thing about that dual in/out is that it really does a great job of tuning the exhaust sound.

The Magnaflow Resonated X Part # 11386 is a very popular option for quieting down the exhaust and removing rasp.

Dont waste the nice exhaust you have. Add resonators and high flow cats. Should mellow it down a little bit.

I loved the old turbo Corvair mufflers until the tractor muffler was discovered to be ultra quiet/

I have Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes with their high flow cats, hooked to a stock cat-back. My car sounds stock at idle and part-throttle, but it's significantly louder at full-throttle.

That rattle is actually very common on the early cars. There's a TSB on it. I think it had something to do with the vendor not welding the baffles inside the muffler properly.

Cam, long tubes, no cats? Stealth?
As most have said....at least try cats first and go from there.
