i havent seen that. i'll take the camaro over that. what i like is that something like if indeed would have been build is not the same or close to the camaro, like the other pictures we have seen about the TRANS AM. ( for those that been on this site long enough)

I don't think they'll bring the T/A - firebird/hawk back - sorry if we've established this or not, but I skipped the middle of this thread

I'm glad their not bringing it back, though not because I like either better than the other...well, I do - but that's not the point. They were essentially the same car, with a different face and @$$. And they were taking sales away from each other. IMO, the Camaro was the better half, even thought the T/A had more power at times, and people are bound to buy the Camaro, now. Because think, really - what other choice do people have? A Mustang that could get slapped by an Intrepid , and a Challenger that will cost as much as a small house... I KNOW there are people out there right now who want a sports car, but don't want to settle for a Mustang, and don't have enough dough for a Vette. Camaro is the answer. T/A would just confuse people - especially an entirely new model: What, what's the difference, which is better?

Now, if the T/A was designed totally separate from Camaro, like the G8, then I'd say "full steam ahead, this should be interesting"

I agree with those who said it would be a bit silly for GM to introduce a T/A like the old days.

However, they could make a killing (or an aftermarket company) replicating a T/A with a 5th gen build. That would catch some eyes!

If they do it in good taste, I would definitely buy a new Trans Am. If they do it like some of those Photoshops above, I'm going to blow up every Pontiac dealership I can find and use the Camaro as a getaway car.

You need to search the forum a bit. There are threads and posts already discussing this.

But, just to be repetitive...there is barely even an inkling of a chance that the Firebird will be released...it makes no sense to release it.

It is doubful, however I think i would almost rather see a new version of the GTO.

I am hoping that they do something cool though, they have the G8 coming out which interests me very much, but i would like to see some kind of sports touring or pony car from Pontiac.
