Questions about axle back exhaust

I am thinking about putting an axle back exhaust on my 2012 v6, however, I am looking for a few specific things. First of all, will it pop when I get off the gas? I do not like that. I also want a mellow, throaty performance tone but I don't want raspy, especially when the rpms get higher up. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Phil

Iirc, the pop your refering to is the decel pop? It was described in another thread in general forum. They mentioned that it was tune related... something like excess fuel being combusted. Not shure the real reason. On my terrible phone... so no linky. :(

Ok, SLP loudmouth 2 was one I was considering since SLP isn't far from my house. Count them out. How is the popping with magna flow or mrt v2? I really wish spin tech would come out with an axle back for the v6....had them on all my mustangs and IMHO the best sounding exhaust out there. Yep, I converted from ford.

If you don't like the pop; you should look at a cat-back system. I am very happy with my Corsa Cat-Back system. Nice growl, no drone and no pop.
I have a C5 Vette and did an axel back install which created the pop, I think it is related to the H-Pipe in the system. A friend has the same exhaust on his car, but he replaced his H-Pipe with an X-Pipe and his does not pop. By the way, I love the pop on my Vette

Used the clamps that came with them but they leaked . Bought some step clamps from Jeg's and sealed right up .
