Yup. Normal. My car does it all the time with this Florida rain. My wife heard it once when she was in the garage and asked if I hit something. Apparently it makes a racket.

The weird part happened in the garage as I was trying to back it out. I turned it on put it in R and nothing (felt like the parking brake was engaged). I engaged and disingaged the parking brake and still nothing. I proceeded to put it in D, the neutral, still nothing. I finally put it back in D, made sure the PARKING brake was disingaged and then gently depressed the gas pedal. That’s when I hear a popping sound and a slight jerk before it finally engaged. After that everything seemed fine.

Anybody else had this experience

Had it happen to me last week. Didn’t drag the tires but needed just a touch of throttle.

I too take the car around the block after a wash...can't stand seeing those big ole discs turn orange.

Pretty much routine to drive up and down the block after a wash now

Simply the pads locked on the rotors. Pads in the six piston caliper cars do that after washing. Drive it around the block and drag the brake a few times...before you put her to bed

This happens if rotors get wet. I've had it happen with multiple cars. It's normal.

My GTR was the worst after washing and letting it sit a few days. It actually resisted a little and then POW. Sounded like a gun going off in the garage.

M6 did same thing.. I washed the car let it sit about 3 weeks while I installed my crazy wrap... I don't set the brake mainly because most brakes still are steel cables that lead to having to adjust or replace worn cables " From leaving the P brakes " on every night ect.. put it in reverse it didn't move then reversed harder and it moved with a pop.

since i had the car on my lift the whole time and working around the front wheel to get the wrap in the fender liner area... I noticed something strange.. the front wheels were locked which was way weird..

I wonder if the line lock has a hick up?
