It is a great new track with completely smooth pavement in the Dallas, TX area! It is advertised as a members only facility (which I can't afford) so I jumped at the chance to drive it while the buildings are still under construction. Hopefully the track will eventually offer some type of track day / HPDE events open to the public so more people will get the chance to experience this impressive track although I am not currently aware of any plans for public events.

There is a nice variety of corners and a good number of them are challenging. I especially enjoyed the adaptations of the heavily banked carousel from the Nurburgring and turn 5a/5b from Mosport!

This is not my best driving but I was starting to get the hang of this track and I think I did ok considering it was my first time at this track. Plus I drove for less than an hour total including cooldown laps with just a short break between my first and second session. Note that my line is probably not optimal as I was still experimenting with it in different places plus I missed some apexes.

Sorry the PDR track map and lap timer overlay only worked during the first session not the second one but I put a screenshot of the track map with the red dot at the start/finish line which is roughly where the video starts and ends.

Note: Cosworth Toolbox shows this track layout as 2.96 miles. I guess the 3.1 mile distance mentioned on the track's website may be counting the chicane. Cosworth is usually within a few hundredths of a mile of the advertised lengths of other tracks I have been to. It can also be split into two independent tracks: 1.9 mile west track and 1.2 mile east track.

All times updated, but we have a slight problem...

Character limit on the list is 100,000 and we have surpassed that. My initial remedy is to remove times past "top 20" and that gives some space back. (Don't worry, I have saved those times in a document.)

I will have to go through and see where I can cut out some characters but limiting to top 20 may not be enough as this list grows.

No immediate resolution at the moment but I will keep everyone informed.

Hmm maybe a moderator can give you control of post 2 so you can split the list into 2 posts giving you another 10,000 characters to work with and you can quote the original text of post 2 at the bottom?

Or you could create a new thread and post a few comments reserved for future use then cut/paste the list into the new thread split across the first 2 comments and put a link to the new thread in post 1 of this thread.

Update on character count:
I have gone through and eliminated some of the fluff. I was able to get us from over 100,000 characters down to 97,681.

I will continue to go through each track time and eliminate things like spaces where they are not needed (for example Hawk DTC 70 / DTC 60 can be replaced with Hawk 70/60) and continue to eliminate words like "pads" or "fluid" when talking about DS1.11 pads and Castrol SRF fluid, as another example.

Update again: down to 95,861. I think we are good for a while.
