You can always just, NOT buy an EV.

Now, there may or may not be consequences to that action in the future. But if so, that's future you's problem. Let them deal with it.

Wife and I got a survey from Cadillac asking whether we will buy an EV. There was no Hell no response on the survey but, I did mark the box not interested.

you will note that i said i would look at it.i keep my cars for around 200,000 miles and as an old retired guy its very likely i would never BUY an EV.but you never know,if the guys in the 1900s had their way you might still be using a buggy whip...

The Bolt's look really does cripple it, it's terrible. But we had a Bolt for a couple days as a loaner, and i really liked it! It did change my mind about have a daily driver EV, i really enjoyed it. With the Bolt ~$12k less than the model 3, GM beat everyone to a good affordable EV, but it just doesn't feel like they're winning with it having these battery issues. Wish it were better looking and $25k

Unfortunately, it's the government (particularly democrats) that is forcing EV's down your throats with all these new emission laws and bills for climate control...

+1 for this comment.

Hypocritically, the government will still use fuel powered private jets, carriers, etc with no repercussion. Which pollute more than personal vehicles.

I hunk with the new price AND the government tax credit/rebate it’s just a tick under $25,000

Not true. Companies are going EV because of Tesla stock. GM made the commitment to go EV with a Republican President.

Need to see the data on that.

However transportation is not the biggest bucket. Just have not seen data that air travel exceeds ground transportation.

And if you take a look you will see EV short range commercial aircraft as well as Roll Royce just flying with carbon neutral fuel.

They will use dedicated EV platforms. I'd go so far as to say that GM is one of best positioned for having a dedicated modular platform designed specifically for their small CUVs, cars, and up to their large SUV and truck platforms. That platform is Ultium https://www.gm.com/ultium

The full EV Blazer might carry the same name as the gas Blazer, but that's about it.

If GM is smart, they will make the EV Blazer and EV Equinox not look like an EV from first glance. There are some good examples out there (The Lyriq does an acceptable job at this while looking good) , but it's way past time for car companies to stop making their EVs look like a rolling virtue signal.

I think GM is in for a rude awakening. People do like EVs..."Tesla EVs", that is. GM's (gm's that is) and Chevy's EVs won't come close to Tesla sales.

Sooooo... why did the Cadillac Lyriq sell out in less than 20 minutes?
