New short block scratches on cylinder walls after installing pistons

Hello, this was my first time gapping rings for a 416 thats going to see a lot of boost, I took my time grinding down all the rings with a stone and then deburring them and putting a slight bevel on them. after assembly I have some up and down scratches on the cylinder walls very light, the ones where gaps are are slightly more visible, but there are many smaller ones. none of them catch a nail and none of them can be felt at all you can just see them. pistons installed dry with a light touch of oil on skirts. Am I just being paranoid and is this normal for a freshly bored and honed block and new diamond pistons and rings? Thanks in advance for any input

I think those "scratches" mean nothing, but next time use lot of oil when installing pistons into cylinders.

Yes sir you need to oil the entire piston, rings, and cylinder walls when installing but I don't believe those scratches will hurt anything but definitely not good. Here's a picture of mine when assembling.

Thanks for the responses guys. Just weird how this is on every cylinder. a light film was applied to each bore with my break in oil, everything moves so smooth. I removed a couple of pistons to see if skirts were rubbing and they are not, everything is perfect. I feel like im probably being to paranoid about this and I should just roll with it just wanted some other eyes on the issue.

Run it, Those are likely just superficial scuffs, it happens from time to time. Use a ton of oil stuffing the pistons into the cylinders, if in doubt always heir on the side of using more oil. It can also be caused by the ring compressor not being set tight enough and causing the ring gap to grab on the deck as it goes into the bore.
