Dealers in Michigan and other locations near GM sites still do offer Supplier/Employee pricing. The employee pricing (~$4K+) is more than twice the supplier discount in general.
Not sure what the business rationale would be (from the dealer's point of view) if GM doesn't provide nearly full recovery of the discount in today's "over-MSRP", "sell everyone they make", Camaro market? Why would a dealer forfeit thousands under MSRP of profit?
Doesn't make sense...

I am happy to see the price increase be limited to $2k, that's a pretty minor bump.

I already feel like I'm getting a lot of car for the money, so I am not worked up over the increase. Originally, I was wanting to stay under $40k but then I decided the move to the 1SS was a better long-term investment over the LT1, and being under $45k with DTC is fine.

Me too! And you are correct, no real changes at all for $2K more.

While the car hasn't changed, we cannot deny the financial impacts of inflation, supply chain shortages, and international agreements. Energy costs are also rising, which impacts operational costs. Any inflation puts strain on salary expenditures, which affects overhead costs. These days, you're winning to just pay MSRP.

I get all that. Doesn't mean I would be happy paying $2k more for the same vehicle a model year newer. Just glad I purchased mine when I did.

Understood, saving money is never a bad thing. I started my process in April as the 2022 orders were no longer being taken so I just accepted that I would have to pay the increase and get a 2023. If I had ordered a 2022 that wasn't accepted by GM and then had to pay a $2k premium after waiting for several months I'm sure I'd be upset.

A buddy of mine's father used to work for ford, so I could have gotten employee pricing on a Mustang. But I'm glad I didn't have to go there.

Frankly I'm not surprised that there has been a price increase for the 2023 models given all the things you mentioned, just surprised how much it is. The increase equates to approximately 4.4% on the same car I purchased in February 2022 at MSRP plus shipping less the rebate at the time of $750. That's a pretty substantial increase given the age of the Gen6 Camaro and that the 2023s are virtually the same as the 2022s.

Like I said before, I'm just glad I purchased my 22 when I did. BTW I ordered mine in early December of 2021, but ended up cancelling the order due to lack of an allocation at the dealership after I found the same vehicle "in transit" to another dealer. That vehicle had been ordered by someone in July of 2021 who later decided to go another direction after waiting six months to get the car before it was built. So I was able to purchase it.

Is this accurate?
Thanks....
I have GM Supplier discount as well with it being a "Perk" of my Company based in Michigan. Unfortunately not a single dealer that I called in my state accepts this, not even my hometown dealer we bought many cars from. I still ordered my car, but this really sucks. Would be nice to offset the price increase.

Why have this program at all then by GM? Oh well. I notified my employer about my experience with this program. Hopefully they just drop it so no one else gets disappointed.

Don't know if anyone else got this, but my car just showed up on the chevy inventory search and it has the 2023 destination charge even though it's a 2022. Must be they started that increase early.

The destination charge changed to $1395 sometime midyear for the 22 Models. I don't recall the order date when it officially changed.

I ordered my 2023 with employee pricing and I have the invoice with all prices listed... but I still am not past 1100 yet...
