Street drive mode
What are your DD drive mode selections?
I use track 100% of the time but never mess with the ptm.

Sport with suspension/steering/exhaust on track. I would keep it in track on the main setting but don't like to bother with having to reselect it each time I start the car so I just leave it in sport. If I could set it and forget it.... Track/Sport2 would be my daily drive setting.

For having fun, it's in "Sport" with competitive mode activated.
Through towns with crap roads I'll put it in "Tour", happens more than I'd like as PA has some of the worst roads in the country. If it's raining, "Track" mode in PTM wet. Exhaust is generally always in track mode.

If it were me, I'd save the sport/track settings for when I was out playing around in the car. I would leave it in normal (tour) mode for DDing. With my scat pack, its far to sharp to DD in sport mode. The trans downshifts every gear, and the gas pedal is very sensitive. Not to mention the exhaust is quite a bit louder. Plus mpg gets shite when you are in that mode. Not that mileage is a problem, but when Im DDing I'd like to get at least 20 like I do now. In sport mode, I get 12...
But Yeah on the camaro when I get it, it will probably be used the same. |

I have the steering overriden to stay in tour at all times and the exhaust to track except when backing into the Garage.
Tour mode for Daily Driving. Let the magride do its job and soak up the bumps. Quick switch to Sport Mode and double tap of TC button for comp mode assists when taking a few spontaneous corners. Track Mode PTM Sport 1 when running the mountains hard or lapping a track. Track Mode PTM Race when tracking and I'm confident I don't need stability assist for any reason. Snow/Ice Mode when driving in heavy rain on the summer tires. Brain in self preservation mode. HAHA!

I use Sport steering, track suspension (offers the quickest rebound recovery), Sport drive mode for daily driving, and Track (PTM Sport 1) For any spirited driving with turns and corners.
The E-diff. has the most nimble calibrations when in the PTM modes to get you around a corner the quickest without binding the outside wheel. Not sure if it achieves this thru keeping the diff. open longer or by over driving the outside wheel, but you can definitely tell a different.

I assume this is only when doing a lot of upshifts, like around town? Or is there something about rev match that affects cruising too?

We have a throttle-map setting? Side note: the "Touring" steering setting still feels heavy for touring.

On the highway or once cruising the rev match doesn't change much as far as mpg, but in traffic or slower back roads where you are constantly going up and down in gears, it chips away at the mpg's.

Exhaust is locked into track. Steering is locked into Sport. Mode pretty much stays in Sport. Most days I double tap when I get in to turn off the nannies and get into Competition Mode. I DD that way.
