Colorado ZR2 Bison ** Sold Out **

According to GM Authority the 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison has had all 2000 units allocated.

Quote:
As it stands, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 currently makes up about 10 percent of total Colorado sales, according to Chevrolet truck marketing director Sandor Piszar. According to official sales data, the Chevrolet Colorado tallied 134,842 US sales in 2018

Pretty impressive for a truck starting near 50K.

Agreed. As cool as they are, I honestly thought they'd be sitting on lots discounted.

I saw this a few days back. Good deal! (I mean good for GM, not a great price lol)

Kind of related, but not exactly. GM says roughly 10% of Colorados sold are ZR2 models (well, that was data from early 2018). I wonder if that number would go up or down, if the standard engine was the LF4 TTV6 or the 5.3 V8. It would certainly garner more excitement for the truck, but would also cost more...I'm assuming adding a few grand at least to the list price.

Hrrrmmm...now I'll sit and ponder.....

We got a 5.3 eventually in the 1st gen Colorado. Sadly, I think those days are gone. The 2.7 I4 I bet ends up replacing both the 3.6 and the 2.5 after Chevrolet finds full size buyers aren't interested.

Indeed. Still say if they offered even the new 4.3L I wouldn’t have went for the diesel.

Yeah I say no chance of a V8 offering, but I think a TTV6 could be a thing in the future if they ever do a performance off-road or street variant.

4.3 would have been great, but my gut says it got worse mpg than the 3.6, even if it was minor, was the reason for the 3.6. Also, not sure how the 4.3 rates in NVH compared to the 3.6, but that could have been another reason.

That said, I really like the 3.6. Its a great engine.

Actually love the 3.6. What I don't love is the 8A transmission programming. I have learned to get the response I want however with my right foot.

The overlanding/offroading/camping theme is huge this year, even SEMA was overrun with these overland builds. I saw it coming, but that's awesome they sold out.

Maybe a tune to customize to your wants will help if you plan on holding onto it?

After the bumper to bumper is up maybe.

Or just go all-in?

Yes IMO the Colorado should have come with the 4.3L (and a manual) but aside from those two oversights it really does check all the boxes.

The Mallet supercharger is cool.. but man that price tag!
