Outside Temperature Reading not working one way to fix

The battery was completely dead when I first requested to test drive our newly purchased 2019 2SS. The car jump started right away using only a portable battery pack and has started every time since the jump. But the outside temperature reading did not display until...

I found a few posts on Camaro6 where others had disconnected the negative side of the battery in the trunk, passenger side, and waited 5 min. Then reconnected the negative post. Afterwards the senor will reset and the outside temperature should display.

The 2019 SS temp display, is in the lower right corner by the clock.

I did the above, and my outside temperature display immediately returned!! Happy to report it is now working.

I have been wondering where on earth the temp was! I’ve noticed it gives me warnings about icy roads on cold days, but never saw the temp anywhere. I need to try this tomorrow!

Dead battery or pulling the negative cable will show on a "--" for the temp on the dash display. It will take around 15 miles or 30 minutes for it to return.

Do you also lose all your radio presets and stuff?
