New Fast Lap at Circuit of the Americas

I set a new PB this past weekend at CotA. Finally broke into the 2:2x range. Super pumped about that! With some better weather (heat index was over 100) and a couple little corrections, there should be another 2-3 seconds in the car.

**Update5**

Gunnin' down some of dem fancy German cars in my mullet mobile.

**Update4**

Hot ZL1 on ZL1 track action

**Update3**

Now I know how Miatas feel. :(

**Update2**

Some bonus footage of me and my friend in his GT-R

**Update**

Jason also managed a new PB in the Blue Dragon (for him not the car).

Thought I was watching a manual until I saw 7th gear.

Great run and I hope to join you over there very soon.

Also, notice you got something on the camera lens. Same thing happened to me on Thursday and I didn't know it until watching the videos. Guess I'll start checking and cleaning it more now.

Is the diffuser on this car? You have to update the other post with the 'gains' from the diffuser.

this isn't drag racing, no launch required. Race mode is the fastest setting for road track.

The diffuser is on the Blue 1LE, which I'm chasing in this video. I'll have more updates of that car in my Road Atlanta videos.

Is Race mode one with all TC off, but PTM at it's max setting, with the basically zero stability control intervention and only e-diff effects to put down max power?

Or can you still have it in Race mode, with some TC on? I should know, or can read manual to answer, but I find the ZL1 combination of stability/traction/e-diff settings to be the most confusing I've ever seen in a car.

That's adorable, but no one said anything about drag racing...turn off traction fully to really get the full potential of the car, your ability and last but not least the limit of the aero. Traction off is how you learn to really drive at the limit, you're limit...then build from there.

I agree that to go as fast as possible you need TC fully off.

But with TC full off the ZL1 e-diff still provides a certain level of "traction control" that I think cannot be disabled. It doesnt cut throttle like TC, only adjusts diff lock to put max power down on corner exit. Are you familiar with the e-diff capabilities?

It's not torque vectoring, and I miss the mechanical torque vectoring of my Evo X. It kept me pointing in the right direction at WOT out of corners (usually).

But the ZL1 e-diff is great, and makes driving the ZL1 fast a lot easier.
