Snow

Why a snow/ice setting??
I don't understand why have this on a rwd sports car that sits 2 inches off the ground. Not like it could be used for someone's daily driver in 6" of snow ...

They might as well put the setting on there. Why not? It won't hurt sales to have it available to some potential customers.

Because believe it or not, GM sells cars in areas where snow falls and ice forms. Crazy I know.

I've seen people drive Corvettes through snowstorms. It's not about what kind of car you drive or what wheels drive you car, it's how good you are at driving.

Attitude? I'm just stating the obvious... What's it going to do switch to awd and use hydrolics to lift it up a few inches

Look at the poll result here. There are a lot more people who are driving Camaro as daily driver than I expected, (me included) so that's 'why' Camaro has Snow mode.
Before adding ground effect and lowering it, Camaros don't sit too low to the ground, so no need for raising the nose. (It's not going to have ground clearance of Grand Cherokee but so doesn't Malibu or ATS)
With snow tires, my wife is driving around perfectly fine in Jag XF RWD during MI winter, and she's not the best driver I know.
I'm assuming Snow mode will put you in 'more cautious traction/stability', and starting in 2nd gear/upshift earlier for AT.

I drove my 2014 all last winter through ice and snow. It actually handles it very well.

Guy here at work (outside of Boston) DD's a gen 5 Camaro 95% of the time. He's got snow tires on it. Last year was the snowiest on record, and he drove it most days.

Easy, it's for guys like him. Mine will (most likely) be a 3 season car.

When I got my CTS4, I was actually seriously considering CTS-V (1 year used, about 10k miles, almost at the same price as my CTS4 new), but chickened out because I was worried about snow.

I want to grow up and be a "guy like him"

Lol funny thing is, he's about 20 years *younger* than me. He really loves that car, though. The really bad days I picked him up in my 4x4 and drove him in since he lives about 15 minutes from me

I am looking forward to the snow/ice setting when I get the gen 6 for two reasons, it is going to be a DD for me, if it snows too hard I can work from home but a little snow this will be great. Number two it will be a great setting for my fiancee to learn how to drive stick. And I am only teaching her for desperate situations.

You don't need AWD to drive in snow.

Tires and knowing how the car acts in snow is everything, awd and 4x4 don't mean crap if you don't know how to drive.
