I've had friends paint stuff for me before and the problem is that you may or may not feel like a jerk if they give you a good price and the work is substandard and you complain, I won't go down that road again, I want someone to hold liable when I see a goober in the paint and tell them to do it again right

Plus you have to remember you have a tri-coat paint and it is naturally more expansive not only paint wise but also labor wise because it requires an extra step.
Yep, the quote was 10 hours.

Exactly! Thanks everyone. They have a decent wait list so Ill be dropping the car off in a couple weeks. Im also going to get them to wetsand and re-clear the rest of the front bumper (the red parts), since its got 55k miles on it, there are some rock chips and bug damage in the clear coat.

Thanks for the input

Maybe a little hight.....but if the work is good, its worth it. Couple examples I have experienced. ...My dealer quoted me $535 to remove and repaint font facial. My '05 GTO needed front facia replaced and painted, $1500.

When it comes to products and services, you have 3 choices. Quality, price and speed.

Pick any 2!

I paid $1200 to have the entire front bumper & GM GFX front lip painted. This included labor and the new rivets to reattach the GFX. Shop was top notch and results were excellent

if the quality is top notch, then it's money well spent.

Macco's can do it for $79 bucks .
But you get what you pay for.
You seem to know what your talking about so I dont think you need anyone's advice . Depends on how picky you are? Maybe the shop knows you are going to look at the car with a microscope and they added the extra cost to make sure it is done right
