I know its too early to tell, but wondering when they may release the exact models IE: possibly a 1LE (i'm so hoping) and the prices, final weight/numbers etc. From what I understand, they probebly arn't going to be releasing these until late fall. For once, my wife is excited as I am.

They said delivery will happen late fall - lets say late September - I would probably add about 6-8 weeks to that for pricing info to be announced. My guess (which is all it is) is early July.

Probably no 1LE for a while, sorry. You just want it for the name huh? The new SS is supposedly just as good as the 5th gen 1LEs.

To me "late fall," means after Thanksgiving or so.... which would push your timeline back a couple months.

Not really just for the name. I like the looks package. If the current SS offeres a blacked out model (not neccesarily a matte hood, although would look decent), red calipers etc. thats more/less the goal of mine.

So, There was another thread that indicated a possible 1LE, which with all the good stuff that the '16 model offers IE: MR suspention, faster etc. why would there be a 1LE, other than a "looks" package.

Additional cooling
Stronger bearings
Stronger 1/2 shaft
Lighter wheels
Wider tires
Small HP bump
Comp seats like c7
Bigger brakes
Tow hooks
Possible more firm shock setup

The first day of fall is September 23rd, so late Sept is very early fall.

GM has also said that production begins in Q4 of 2015, which is October, November, and December.

I currently own a 2013 1LE and I really doubt that Chevy will be coming out with a 1LE track package for the 2016 Camaro SS that already beats it on the track

GM hasn't said yet. If it goes into production late in the fall, then I would expect ordering to open up late summer/early fall
