1100 club!!!

I feel like I'm destined to stay at 1100 for all of eternity(coming up on 4 months with no progress), If I don't move past 1100 sometime Q1 2014(really don't want to wait for a 15) I'm thinking about switching to a used R8 or GTR. Anyone else in the same boat, thinking of going elsewhere due to the wait on Z51s?

Not really enjoying the crap shoot gamble of maybe getting a car allocated week to week.

don't switch cars, switch dealers:

kirbeck
criswell
MacMulkin
Coughlin

it's obvious your dealer is not getting allocations

good point, I have tried calling a few other local dealers with no luck. I think I'll be making some more calls tomorrow.

There are almost 1000 Corvette Dealer Listings on AutoTrader.com.

Base, Z51, Convertibles, they're all there. Most are MSRP or under.

The Dealer you have is screwing you around.

Move on, in my best Jedi Knight voice, you do not want a used anything else, you want a 2014 Corvette Stingray.

Kochaloch,

I was going to say the exact same thing that Second Vette said. I've been looking at Autotrader and even Ebay for several weeks and there are tons of choices. I was thinking of even backing out of my order and purchasing from dealer stock.......then after 3 weeks, all of a sudden I jumped from 1100 to 2000 and then 3000 in 2 days. I placed my order on 11/19 and I just knew I was in for a long-ass wait. Then all of a sudden I started making progress so I think I will wait it out for sure now!

I feel for you dude! I can't imagine waiting 4 months with no movement!!

Best of luck brother!!!

Don't know about Auto Trader but do know carsDOTcom will show cars that have not shipped or are pre-sold. I do not believe Auto Trader would be different because it is the dealers who put in the listing.

I have since August been posting the Z51 would/will be on limited constraint. The way a limited constraint is distributed is beyond me, but suffice it to say whatever method is used by Chevrolet that method is designed to withstand dealer initiated lawsuits.

The biggest eight Corvette dealers will get about half of the Z51 allocations, which means the other half will be distributed amongst the couple of thousand out of three thousand Chevrolet dealers who are allowed to order Corvettes.

If your dealer delivers over 100 Corvettes a month, that dealer will have a good chance of getting a Z51 C7. (Yes, there are dealers who do just that.) The odds of a dealer getting a Z51 go down the fewer Corvettes that that dealer delivers.

These are your best bet. They can probably deliver the car to you directly as well. Waiting four months and still being stuck at 1100 is nuts.

Kockaloch, I have been at 1100 since between 10/21 and 10/25 (not sure exactly which day my dealer put in the order after I gave him my deposit). In reality, I would prefer not to have the car until spring anyway, but I would feel a lot better if I was at least at 2000 (GM accepted order). That said, if my order is not accepted by the last week in January, I plan to get my deposit back and go to one of the "megadealers". From what I read in the forums, they can and will deliver what I suspect my dealer may not be able to within the 2014 model year. At this point in the 2014 model year production (>10000 built) I think three months at 1100 will be sufficient evidence to show that my dealer cannot deliver on his end of the bargain, regardless of the Z-51 constraint (currently at 50% from what I read elsewhere). That would likely put me getting my car around April, the way I see it. I don't want to wait until the 2015's come out.

I ordered my 3LTZ51 on 11/8 and am still at 1100. Talked to the dealer yesterday and I am first or second into the chute for allocations. I am targeting a specific date for Museum delivery for my 50th at the end of February, so I think I am still on target... Fingers crossed.

Good luck to you, Gunny. I truly hope my dealer can provide the goods. I have read where Z51 constraints are expected to be lifted completely by mid-January. That will be welcome news to many of us!

The more things change, the more everything stays the same. It's all in the dealer. Ordered Vert, Z51 & Fay (both on constraint) on 9/30 delivered 11/11. Probably could have been week earlier if I weren't hung up on color & M7vs A6.

Dump the dealer, find one that sells Vettes and really has Allocations.
