Becky
My order #RZGZ60 South Carolina was at 3000 with a TPW of 10/15/14. When you are on and graciously checking for others, if you get a moment, has that order moved up the pecking order and become more stable. Tanks bunches Rich Aiken SC |

I show 3000 status TPW 10/15. Still subject to change but they seem to be running pretty consistent |

Thank you in advance for all you do. Order RZJZH4 Waterloo Iowa I heard that the order is placed and the order will remain in the dealerships order bank until your dealership's allocation is accepted by GM based on the availability of your specified options and features. I do not understand what exactly this means and can you explain how all this works? How long can the wait be? What priority does a sold order have compared to a dealer stock order and any other useful info you can provide in helping us mere customers understand the magic of how all this works? If you wish to email me => gluterek@mchsi.com |

Here's how it works: GM gave the dealers a production guide # (allocation) about 6 weeks or so ago. This # represents the # of Corvettes that will be built for that dealership. These units become available during the weekly order cycle. The dealer has to place an order against the # during the cycle that it shows up. The challenge is that the allocation is not available every week for every dealer. Let's say that a dealer gets and allocation of 6 cars for the production period July-Dec. That's basically 1 per month, but there are 4-5 order cycles in that month. Even then, they don't always come out evenly. A dealer can get 2 in a week and then none for several weeks. Once the allocation becomes available, then they have to look at constraints to see if the order is buildable. So if you order a Z51 pkg or a CF dash, it may not be possible to place the order. So the dealer will either move to the next sold order that can be built, or create a stock order or try to pick up the constraint. Picking up the constraint is a difficult process to fully explain, but sometimes the dealer can place the order with the constraint' by challenging the system. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Hope that helps. currently 1100 status |
