Video Rear View Mirror

I would like to see an option for the video rear view mirror camera that's becoming available from Caddy to be an available option for the Camaro soon to help aide with rear visibility.

What do you guys think of this as a possibility or a want for the future?

I like the idea, hope to see it sometime. I think on the Cadillac the camera is to be on the roof so no blind spots for the pillars in the car like on the Camaro.

CNET reported that it will become available on most cars in the coming years.

Actually it's come and gone already. My 2012 45th has it. But then the center console screen came out in 2013 and the video moved to it.

Makes so much sense to be in the mirror since your already looking there anyways. Its the one thing I'll miss the most when I get my 50th.

GM has put it in the CT6, XT5, and the Bolt, so it should hopefully continue to trickle down.

The video is shown on the entire mirror while driving on the street and not just on a portion of it while backing up in reverse like the earlier mirror had since the cameras used in the new system is not the backup camera.
