heads cam

getting closer to heads and cam,
I don't like running lots of lift on a daily driver, stuff breaks starting with the bushings on the rocker. Lots of lift, lots of RPM require high spring pressure once again stuff breaks. I like these cams so far cause the lift is reasonable:

.212/.224 N .210/.222 115LSA .572/.529 @ .050" (With 1.8 Rocker Arm)

.216/.228 N .214/.226 116LSA .572/.529 @ .050" (With 1.8 Rocker Arm)

.220/.232 N .218/.230 117LSA .572/.529 @ .050" (With 1.8 Rocker Arm)

.224/.236 N .222/.234 118LSA .572/.529 @ .050" (With 1.8 Rocker Arm)

I be tossing around stage 1 or 2.

They rec pack 1519 springs good to .650, I'd go with the 1518 good to .625

I really don't understand the vendor overkill on the springs it wears stuff out and breaks stuff. I figure at stage II the rev limit of 6700 and 6600 for stage 1.

I think I already stated I'm into mild DD cams that will go at least 100,000 miles. I don't really care about the 7000 RPM dual springs and .610 lift cams, not my cup of tea.

What are the stock specs in the SS?
I would not want to assume they are generic LT1 specs.

200 / 207 .551 / .524

The Gen 5 LT1 camshaft features 200/207 degrees of duration at .050-inches, .551/.524-inches of lift, and a 116.5-degree lobe separation angle. These specs are quite similar to those found on the LS3 (204/211-degrees of duration, .551/.522-inch lift, 117 LSA) although the design has been optimized for the splayed valves, 1.8-ratio rockers, and the AFM system, and reversed for the new intake and exhaust valve locations. Unlike previous generations, the base LT1 will come standard with continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) and the ECM works with an oil-driven camshaft phaser to command up to 62 crank degrees of camshaft phasing.
