Exclamation Ferrari Threatens Owner (VIDEO)

They're mad at his public image. Is it any of their business?

That's insane...but...I am completely unfamiliar with what Freedoms Europeans enjoy (or don't, as the case may be) that we Americans take for granted.

It's entirely possible that the German and Italian governments/laws/courts entirely allow this sort of litigation.

Stupid as hell, but might be completely legal over there...

Well... He is using the Ferrari logo on his pictures. I think if he was just taking general pictures of the car, that would be better. But now he is really using the BRAND of Ferrari.

I kinda agree with Ferrari.

Yes, because their brand is their business model. As a car, they're no better than a Corvette. They cost several times more because you are buying brand image. If you're a douche and associate yourself with Ferrari, it hurts Ferrari. Even if nothing happens with this, its still in their best interest to be seen trying to stop him.

It's just posturing from Ferrari. Would be a tough case to win in courts. As stated above, I believe this is Ferrari's way of speaking through their legal team that this DB does not represent the majority of the Ferrari owners.

Granted it's more posturing than anything, but Ferrari has deeper pockets than their customers

Deadmau5 vinyl wrapped his Ferrari with a Nyan cat vinyl and had custom PURRRARI emblems made for it. Ferrari sent him a cease and desist.

they sold the car it is not their concern what you do with it after purchase!
now if Ferrari wants to keep control i suggest they lease cars and make you sign a contract as to what you can and cant do with "their car".
what are they still fascists??

Ferrari is very full of themselves, and always have been. They have always been the most arrogant company around.

I thought terms and conditions of sale for things like this was becoming commonplace for the luxury sports car segments.

For some, yes. But I don't think it's done on all models in a line-up.
