So yesterday there was a pic out there on the web of the new Mid-Engine Corvette out testing at Milford Proving Ground, did any one see it and if so what do you think?

I saw them. Article says the pics were taken from about a mile away but also said the new car was wider than a Stingray. A 06 is also wide than a Stingray. From a mile away, come on, get a grip.

The pictures I saw were in black & white and very grainy which would be true if taken from a mile away as indicated in the article. There were several pics and most had 2 other cars in them. One of the cars was identified as a Stingray and I could not tell what the other one was. There was a comment about what the writer identified as a mid-engine Vette. He said you could tell it was probably the new mid-engine Vette because it looked like it was several inches wider than the Stingray.
My comment is that the Stingray and 'mid-engine' were at different angles, the new vehicle was camouflaged, pic taken at great, it was impossible to see any difference. A Z06 is several inches wider than a Stingray and most could not tell the difference at 100 yrds let alone a mile. Given the quality of the pics, I don't think anyone could tell what it is. Here's the links to what I got. http://www.corvetteonline.com/news/m...vette-spotted/ http://www.autoblog.com/2016/06/27/m...#slide-3962537 |

I remember seeing it as a kid...still waiting and not holding my breath. The reality is...the current C7 is much cooler than any Stingray I could have imagined back then. The magazines have been hyping the "upcoming mid engine Corvette" for years.
