Think I can make it fit? 345/40/17

Trying to see if I can fit some Toyo tq 345/40/17, from my research if I try to run a 17x12 with a 40-35 et...it should be close?

Currently running zl1 setup with 20x11 305/30/20 stock tires

Some specs:

Stock Goodyear supercar3 12.3” wide 27.2” tall
Toyo tq 13.7” wide 27.7” tall

Saw a thread of a guy running 335/30/20 michellin pilot super sports which measure:

13.5” wide 28” tall

Depends on your rear alignment. The guy that install 335's in the rear took all the camber out of the rear end to make it fit and it was still going to rub under load due to stock cradle mount deflection.

If you don't care about cornering, and want to remove all camber, then go for it. I would not do it.

I’m going to say that a bit too much tire. Just the right bump at the right speed could be very bad.

Jax - I read through that thread but didn’t see a mention of chamber adjustment, can’t tell from the pics too much to verify, where did you see the camber is maxed out?

Mark- if suspension geo is the same why would it cause erratic behavior? I asking because I don’t know, largest tire I ever ran was 325 on my 14 mustang gt, can you explain?

If the tire is too big and you hit a good bump that moves the cradle ever so much it can cause the tire to hit either inner or outer wheel well. Hitting the outer could range the quarter panel pretty bad. If the car squats just enough to not just rub but literally put pressure on the tire hindering hit a from rotating could be pretty bad as well.

Car has a lockout kit installed already. I get the tires hitting the fender piece, but it seems like there is enough clearance for a tire 13.5” wide?

problem with asking questions like this, is it comes down to what people are willing to sacrifice to make something like that work. I just test fitted a 325/30/19 on my car today. its stock ride height but looking at every thing that should clear with plenty of room to spare. The 325's came off my 2012 Caprice, the tire and wheel combo literally rubbed every where on bumps (and thats after rolled fenders, cut inner fender liner, hammered flat pinch welds). I put 40,000 miles on the car that way. Any ways to sum it up, I think you can make it happen, might have to trim the inner fender a bit, hammer a couple place to give a little extra clearance, roll the fenders. If those are all things your ok with, then go for it. I love seeing people push the boundaries on wheel and tire combo's.
