Connector for CAI

Would like to add some color to my CAI. Are there colored ones like you get on rotofab? Mine looks like the one in the second picture. Would like to put a red one at the throttle body. Possible?

Thanks,
MR V

I think it would help if we knew the name of that connector. I wouldn't mind changing mine as well. Good idea!

I believe those are Rotofab connectors in the first pic. I'm sure someone can confirm.

Yeah but what's it called? Maybe the material name?

I think they are called intake couplers or boots.

Roto-fab calls it a "silicone hump hose"

By the way OP, great looking engine bay!

Actually neither of those is mine. The were pictures posted in a thread when I was deciding which one to get. I ended up going CAI because I preferred the cover. I will post up some pictures once I get it installed

Got the CAI installed tonight and went for a spin. Definitely can tell it's sucking more air. The thing I am curious about is I seemed to hear it much more in 2nd gear than I do in 1st. That have to do with higher speed forcing more air into the box? It was a very pronounced difference from 1st to 2nd so kinda surprised.

Thoughts?

At least you can hear it, for now. My exhaust prevents me from hearing anything else, lol. And I love it.

Should be able to substitute any intake coupler with colors you want as long as they are the same size. And yeah, the intake noise will definitely be more pronounced. Like it while you can hear it, once you move onto the exhaust it's hard to distinguish haha.

As that's my engine bay, I can confirm that those are Roto-fab connectors.

OP, give Roto-fab a call or visit their webpage, they sell the connectors by themselves.

I asked Dyno Steve in his question thread and the engine uses more air the higher the gear hence the change in tone
