she picks her battles wisely.

find someone with a V8 convertable same color as yours and pay them 1000 bucks to borrow it for the race. just take the badges off. she'll never know

If the Z4 is a 3.0i it has 215HP if it's the 3.0si then it's 255. Plus I'm sure it's lighter than the 4th gen. So you know what you need to make up for.

Welcome to the site! I didn't see in your first post, is your Camaro an auto or manual? What about the Z4? Have you raced before? Do you know how to get a good holeshot off the line? Just wondering those things before commenting on the mods. Oh and how soon is the race?

EDIT: Oh, I am hope that you have that $20k invested somehow and making you money.

if all else fails, put a nail in front of her back tires... lol. you may want to consider getting a supercharger off of a Pontiac Gran Prix GTP. they were running 240 hp, and 280 lb-ft of torque... as opposed to the stock Gran prix having 175 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque...

the stock 3.8 camaro had roughly 200 hp to begin with, and 225 lb-ft of torque... if the super charger adds the same power to the Camaro as it did to the Gran Prix, the Camaro should have roughly 265 hp and around 310 lb-ft of torque...

My guess is that because the camaro's 3.8 is tuned better to begin with, you will gain more power, and more torque than the Gran Prix did. you may even be able to compete against an LT1 camaro and beat it with the supercharger.

one last thing, the GTP required 92 octane or higher fuel to run, so keep that in mind... you will need that to make the Camaro run with the supercharger

*Everything above is rough estimates, and may not be correct, feel free to make any comments or suggestions as to where my figures may be wrong...

if ur not attatched to the convert, sell it, and with the 20k buy an SS convert with the same color. u can get one for way under that. other than tht, i think she mite win, unless she has a burnout or something at the start, or shes a terrible driver.

ps:... wow, i wish i had 20k. i saved for a year and got 1200 lol

Turn your 69 into a vert, whats that ... 5 grand max

or

you can do a pain in the ass engines swap, nice LS1 or a LS2 would do it

or

a nice turbo would do it, but how reliable is the 3800 V6 though

here's a better idea, PM "CamaroSpike23" - hes very knowledgeable on this subject

1st gen camaros and 4th gen camaros look very diff. and the girl wants to race her v-6 4th gen. and as I posted earlier... the girl knows how to pick her competition. who wants to challenge someone to a race you know you would lose? lol

I still say find someone with a v-8 vert of the same color, debadge it and race it. lol

The best mod can do is sell your V6 and buy a V8. With that kind of money saved up you could spend just over half of it and you would have a really nice SS or you could spend it all and get a really nice one.

im assuming since its mommy daddy money that the z4 is most likelt going to be a second gen with a camaro rockin out a good 200 stock na rwd versus the z4 a few things could happen the hp range on that depending what she picked on her trim 201 if she picked up the non aspirated trim. in a worse case scenario she got the sexy twin turbo edition. with a 3.8 id say drop a nice sized turbo on it with an intercooler and get 75 shot sprays cat, headers, and jet it up. if you don't pull on her just w the turbo. use a 75.

my boy has that setup with a t3.

that plus labor shouldnt cost you more than 7k

spray all day
