I kinda do agree. Sounds cool at beginning, AWD E Muscle car! But…starting at 60k!!

Idk I bet it's pretty exciting in the drivers seat. It would probably throw you back in your seat more than 99% of the cars on this forum.

Yeah I'm guessing they're going to try the retro styling in hopes of pulling in some of the old school muscle heads. I hope it works for them and kicks off a new wave of pony car wars between the big 3.

The Logo that they will be using is the Dodge Logo from 66 to 76 I think look it up, looks like they are moving forward into the EV landscape, and like it or not if they pull it off they have a better plan than anything GM has, and IF I was ever going to get an EV I would go and get a Muscle Car Looking one before I would get anything GM has put forward. I would never get a Volt, will wait and see what it looks like but some styling queues from 1969 Charger, imagine if they had a EV that looks like a 69 2 door Charger and it could do a 10.5 sec 1/4 mile tell me it wouldn't sell LOL.

Priced right this will sell like hot cakes just like the new Lightning is going to. Only the "Purists" are the ones that won't buy.

when do Americans ever price things right lol especially Dodge.

The Mach-E starts at $43k.. so it won't be under that. Model S starts at $69k .. so they'll probably undercut that but the range and performance will be less.

I work in the Civil Engineering field I design roads and Highways so I know how they are built and the cost to build, I just finished the drawings for a 2 km project that will cost 10mil, the road projects in Canada are supported by tax on gas as electric cars become more popular this will impact gas revenue, as this happens tax on fuel will need to increase, as this goes up the government will need to find new resources to fund road works. Right now they are looking into a mile or km tax on the amount you drive per year, as well as other revenue streams. So look forward to more tax however you look at it as less people have ICE cars.

In Ontario we have closed all generating plants that use Coal, so for areas that still use it look forward to more plants to close in favor or alternative power generation. Then think of all the money that will need to be put into upgrading the power grid to handle the increase in power needed.

Just a few thoughts that cross my mind related to highway and power generation with the increase in Electric Vehicles .

It's probably going to be pretty close to the Mach-E. Dodge is getting a kick out of competing with Ford whether it's via the horsepower wars or the sales wars. I can see them carrying that same mentality as they go electric.

I'll miss the V8 sounds though, even as a non-V8 owner. I hope Dodge doesn't try to give it a fake V8 sound.

I'd rather the fake sound be something ridiculous like a jet turbine engine sound.
I do take 2000-3000 mile trips in my Camaro. Many Camaros here @ CFest have driven from CA too; its not just about muscle cars. I've taken road trips in my cars that have averaged 2-4k miles in less than 2 days.

Granted, not everyone does it but, if I don't get the option like I do now, I want them to solve that for me. I like EV's -- I just don't want to loose the ability to go where, when, and how far I want... I think we can all agree that is still a desire for many...
