How to get a Camaro with black piece between grills

Hey I have built a new Camaro SS on the Chevy site and I can't seem to find how to get the front fender piece in-between the 2 grills black like in the pic below. I think it looks way better and gotta have it. Is it a certain package that makes it that way or something?

I wanna get my baby ordered

That is a 2019 SS front end, the only way to get that would be to replace the front piece on your new car with a 2019 piece after you get the car...

I believe that black section is unique to the 2019 model year. As I recall, they rolled that out, realized most buyers thought it was fugly, and then started painting that part the same color as the rest of the body in subsequent years.

I haven't taken my car apart to check, but it appears that that section is a separate part from the rest of the bumper, so you could probably buy one from a 2019 after the fact, or remove it and paint it black on your new 2021/2022, if you like the 2019 look better.

I hated the 2019 version when I first saw it, but it's kind of growing on me now.

Related to this, does anyone know if the 2019 upper grille, without the bowtie, would fit a later year bumper?

Why not get a gloss wrap? Removable if desired/necessary.

from what i have read is that center portion comes off. when you take possession of it, just take it off and get it painted.

Ah ok. Ya I'll have to see if it's separate. That would be pretty easy to change if so. Im surprised that nobody liked the looks of it black. I love it

I really did not like that bumper when they rolled it out, but it's grown on me, and I actually like it way more than the new style. I even like it better than my 17 SS bumper.

It is a separate piece, you can either replace it or simply remove your piece and paint or wrap it (I'd wrap it so it could be removed later).

If you really want the bowtie (Flowtie) on there you'll have to order the 2019 piece...

It’s a very unique front end on the 2019 SS. One year only that was cursed by many Camaro owners and enthusiasts. Maybe check the Member Classifieds and see if someone has their original parts listed to sell. There were a few forum members that changed their 2019s to look like the redesigned 2020 front end.

I think you’d be able to find that black bumper cover for sale from folks that preferred the ‘20+ front end. I’d look around on here and Facebook Camaro groups

Pics? Even the Dodge Challenger Design Team was not that "insert word" to do that. They are body color across.
