i think question is simply, are you going to track the car or not. The OP is in NY, so Watkins Glenn, Lime Rock, NJMP, Pocono, lot's of opportunity!

About that 30 mph lower comment, I assume you mean it is governed to the stated 150 or 155 top speed due to the tires and wheels out of the gate. And that it could be tuned out for the same top speed as the SS pretty easily!?!

Of course it can be tuned out but I highly doubt the dealer is gonna do it. So there goes the warranty?

For almost 100% of LT-1 purchasers it is a complete non-issue, if you're going to be going 150+ presumably you are not particularly concerned about the warranty anyways.

If you add used stock SS wheels and tires, a dime a dozen, The SS and LT1 with the same suspension will handle exactly the same with a slight nod to the LT1 being a little lighter. You can also fit 1LE rims or replicas and ZL1 tire sizes to the LT1 to exceed the SS capabilities. Except without a tune the LT1 cannot match the SS top speed if that matters to you. In my 2018 A10 ZL1 which throretically might reach 200 the fastest I ever went in it was 130 MPH in the 1/4 mile. Sorry everyone, I sound like an LT1 salesperson, but I loved all three of my gen6 Camaros. And GM has been good to me doesnt hurt. To me for the driving and tracking I do the LT1 makes the most sense. And if you look at what you get for $35k it is the perfomance bargain of the entire car industry. The only thing close is the 1SS. It adds more road trackability with extra cooling if that is your bag for s few $K more. Still a bargain. If you buy an LT1 don't buy one with addons rather than real options. You will never get that money back with add ons. With options you might get 1/3 back. Then again maybe not. Fun costs $$. I have to confess my M6 LT1 was over $40K list. It is worth every penny to me.

That's what I meant. I suspect it would be very easy to tune that out....and void your warranty at the same time.

Its going to be never end once you move to LT1. Because add little options, it comes to 1SS price. And you add just little bit, it comes to 1SS 1LE or 2SS for little more.
Waiting makes people think a lot lolol
