Or wanted to take advantage of the higher resale values on used cars now.

This market really pushed many owners to sell their garage queen or “hard to find” ones. Example of Chevy SS or 5th gen Z28 there was barely 1 or 2 before but now you can find them easier than before.

seeing the Z28s listed for $66.. $70k .. makes my eyes hurt but yeah this market is pretty nuts right now. I guess I didn't consider that random things and emergencies do happen.

question is... will someone on the forum snatch it up

I’d love to a have a low mileage, 2016-2021, SS, M6. But, no way no how is that car worth what they want for it, at least in my opinion. Obviously an awesome car, but with no or very limited warrantee, for that kind of dough, I’d wait to buy new.

I agree with you but for the market that's a great price. most 1SS 1LE are coming in around this price with 20k+ miles.

I'm personally not buying used right now cause it doesn't make sense but that doesn't mean I think this is a bad deal.. just not for me since I have the luxury of waiting

Yea, but the market is the market and is subject to change very quickly. Anyone that buys this car, or any overly inflated car (now) didn’t learn anything from the housing crisis. I’m going out on a limb here, but I think both new and used cars will be flooding the market in ~ 6 months. I also think we’ll see defaults increase, once some or all of the direct to taxpayer benefits end - stimulus, unemployment and relief act. Some people will default just because they know their car is way under water, just a few months after purchase.

Maybe there will be bargains in 2022, some directly or indirectly created by the infrastructure plan (if it passes). Been wrong before, but thats how I see it. (A lot of moving parts)

"50th Anniversary Edition"... I think every Camaro built in 2017 had the "Fifty" badging... my 2017 ZL1 does.

Nice try dealer!

You're wrong about this one, I've checked the page and it does have the H50 package. It's a genuine F1FTY car.

Thanks Arpad. These are good people down there. The write-up and price on this vehicle seems very fair, particularly given the market. I ran the specs through KBB and CPO pricing came back around $53k. Might be down to $40k in a month or two, but today $45k is a very respectable, non-price gouging price.

It's certified, it'll have GM warranty on it.

Yep, you’re correct. Looks like about a year and half left on it….6 years from the in service date of March 2017. Better than nothing, but not something I’d jump at.

Yeah, I personally wouldn't buy it either, but for the price of it, especially given the market, rarity of the car and how expensive SS' are right now, it's the best deal I've seen in quite awhile. A dealer local to me had a Fifty A8 with about 17K miles and they wanted 44K for it, and it sold pretty quickly.
