If this is true (BIG IF), very sad. It's getting hard to support GM nowadays.

To say it is true or not is sort of murky. Speaking from my “product planner” DNA, I would say it is an exaggeration of what the real status of a Gen 6 Z28 concept was. Speaking with my “auto forecaster” DNA I can say that I did have a 5.5L DOHC 6MT in the forecast that we publish, but I took it out of the forecast just before I left our forecasting group at the end of 2020.

I doubt it was ever an “approved program” but it was no doubt something the Camaro team would have been considering and may have even had some running properties around. As an example, I once rode in a V10 Suburban test property. That program never got approved. So the idea that there may have been a 5.5L Camaro 6 hanging around Milford is highly likely. The bar to getting a program approved and in the portfolio is super high. To be honest, it’s not “a bar”. It’s several hurdles, and you have to clear all of them.

Given the switch to wholesale electrification of the portfolio and the amount of time that would have been required to recover the investment in engineering and validation cost, I took it out of the forecast because I doubt it would have had a snowball’s chance in hell of clearing all the business case hurdles.

Current model Sierra to continue for 2022 production as Sierra Limited. Assumed to be an interim model year waiting on the MCE to launch.

Confirmed "2022.5" model year for MCE trucks.

They’re right about one thing, after they ditched the incredibly lame real people commercials they need to axe the designers. The Camaro is now hideous as is the Silverado. They’re both 3rd in sales for a reason. Yuck.

Interesting...here's the link on that one.

One person's comment is adamant that it will be the refreshed Silverado. We'll see.

Loving all the camo shots of the next gen mid-size twins that have been dropping lately!

Something I've noticed.

The side view mirrors are different than the first Colorado/Canyon spyshots. I'm guessing these are the production mirrors and what we've been seeing were the current mirrors slapped on for testing purposes.

Good eye. I wonder if they'll be interchangeable with the current style 🤔

The new ones look nice, more modern...but tiny.

The mirrors on my Colorado are pretty damn excellent.

First production CT5V Blackwing created.

Looks like the Camaro/Caddy plant is humming now. Article says 12 4/5 Bkackwings were made. Hopefully there's no more delays for those that have Camaro orders.
