Probably won't be the last time they will look for a bail-out. Even their supposed pre-orders might be a scam. Shut it down. It stinks of probably more to come phony EV hype and no real demand for EVs.

Article says Denali, but they mention it could be an AT4. I don't know. I mean, those tires look too aggressive to be a Denali, but then again they look to be 20" rims also.

Either way, I really like those wheels. I'm really liking the improved stance. Looks perfect. Also, you can tell the strut and shock mounting points have been raised, and the low hanging spare tire is moved up also. Good stuff. Looks like a hint of a sunroof also?

I'm really hoping this truck will be my next truck. Come on GM...make it look good! lol.

GM is supposed to be announcing more Ultium battery plant locations this week. They’re gonna need them if they’re gonna supply everybody that is asking for batteries.

The real problem is that we don't have enough lithium, nickel, manganese, and cobalt to make them anyway if all these automakers are true to their word.

I thought the same thing, but then I read yesterday afternoon that the stock surged back up quite a bit after the new interim CEO said that they are still on track to produce trucks and have funding through some part of 2022.

But come on...who in their right mind actually thinks this company is going to go anywhere? At least their trucks anyways...with the big three coming out with electric trucks in the near future, Tesla with their "truck" and Rivian there is zero chance the Lordstown truck would sell.

...and it's butt ugly.

Not true. It’s sorta like when people were saying “we’re gonna run out of oil by {pick a date}”. What they may have meant was “we ‘re gonna run out of easily attainable oil by {pick a date}”. Then better ways of getting to the “hard to get” oil were developed and, voila! The US is now a net exporter of oil. Lithium is plentiful. Even if it wasn’t, lithium accounts for less than 2% of the material content of a lithium ion battery. Nickel and cobalt are elements that are actually byproducts of mining other elements. Just suddenly they are now more valuable than the other elements. Not sure about manganese, other than the fact that it is also used in very small amounts per battery. I worry more about neodymium and dysprosium used in the manufacture of magnets for electric motors. Most of the deposits of those two metals are found in China. There’s a lot of development work going on to figure out how to make efficient motors without using neodymium and dysprosium.
