Zl1 heavy hitter cam thread

ok, looking to change some things next year..

I really would like to hear from the guys on here who are going fast..

big dyno numbers are not what im looking for unless its really high, as dyno numbers don't always make e.t..

hey baron, looks like you're all alone. my car's no heavy hitter but it makes 600rwhp and 650rwtq on a mustang dyno. no et yet. it only has a 2.55 pulley, a k/n drop in filter and a 100 shot nitrous warehouse progressive system. durability upgrades to come in 2014. torq in miami fl does the work for me.

have you though about calling someone like livernois that has built a few 9 second cars and just layout out your mods and doing a custom grind???

there are some other poeple in the 9's but they have the most cars in that teritory so seem logical that they could grind you something up that would work really well.

Cams and torque converters for some reason I like to lean on people that just build a lot of combinations.

like you said peak numbers don't tell the whole story broad power delivery given proper traction usually get's the better et.

Nitrous car obviously. I like that cam BTR stage 3 zero overlap 231/248 120+5 .617"/.595" Wide 120 LSA and 115 ICL
Good idle and incredible power band

Anyone notice looks like they took the back glass out at the .35 mark in the Video? Or is that OEM with all the bolts showing? You can see later on the dyno the glass is different I think. I wonder how or if they stripped it down on the inside not that the numbers are not believable because they are just sayin. Either way bad ass car cam sounds good.

722 on the street seems good enough for me. I suppose if your proving ground is the drag strip, the sky is the limit. I haven't figured out why anyone would butcher a ZL1 or ZR1 for 60 foot times... each to their own. I'm curious about the meth the Vette is running, must be responsible for the light-off?

Some of us just want to go as QUICK AS POSSIBLE...as far a drivability even a 8 sec ZR1 is still drive-able on the street,it might get 13mpg on a good day,but heck so did my 1986 f250 with a 200hp big block, and a 4bb,lol...
TO each his own,if you have the cash, and it makes you happy,go for it !!!!!!!!!!

For such a high dollar awesome car, that Dyno looks like something out of someones brothers friends cousins back yard he bought used at a yard sale. That Vette was a hair from breaking loose riding on just 1 Dyno wheel when he got on it??? Straps and jack stands all over the place...
