Question about auto headlights

Ive noticed that when i pass other camaros there headlights are off but fog lights are on or no lights are on at all. but my headlights are always on even in the auto slot and i have to flick it to the left to turn them off but as soon as i turn the car off then back on they're on again. if i go all the way to the right the headlights stay off but the marker lights are on. am i missing something or are they just turning them off every time they get in their cars? thanks in advance

The RS package, which adds the HIDs and halos, uses the fog lights as DRLs. I believe to turn the fogs on without the RS package, you have to push in the entire knob.

Now that I think about it, I don't even know. I set mine to auto over a year ago and haven't moved it except for a few pics.

If you have a non RS car, then ur headlights are the running lights. Turn the knob to the left and it will turn off everything or if you want fogs, push in on the knob and the fogs and parking lights will be on. The RS cars only run fogs for running lights.

So yes, u would have to turn em off each time u start the car if you have a non RS car.
