What would you say average wait time is from placing order to moving off 1100? We placed order with our dealer on Oct. 29th. They told us "4-6 weeks" when we placed order and here we are 3+ months later.

I hate to burst your bubble but you have wasted your time, you should find a new dealer (larger the better) that actually has allocations and order it from them. If you search on these forums people will advise you the closest dependable dealer in your area that can actually get you a car. Some may even have cars on the way that match what you want. Good luck! |

[btw This dealer had 3 on site, and received none during month of January. Says we are "first in line out of three on order"] |

It's not that you are on infinite hold but you could be on indefinite hold. It's either an allocation problem or a constraint problem. Either one an honest dealer would have told you about. Having an order number means something, it just doesn't mean the dealer can get your car. Any dealer who has you wait that long at 1100 is NOT one you want to deal with. I actually used another forum for learning about this stuff but this one probably has threads on it too. Unfortunately all dealers aren't honest or open about it, which sucks. Do some more googling to find a reputable CORVETTE dealer in your area and go talk to them. |

Thanks. I appreciate your time, and was afraid this was exactly what was happening.

Well, I just talked to 2 big dealers in New Orleans, and they both said they are having problems getting any kind of communication on their allocations. Both said 3 months is not unheard of.
So now I'm more confused... |
