The 718's are turbo'd. In Porsche fashion they gently bump the power each year or generation but with turbo power the torque is much better but nothing like a Z. I still love my ZL1 for many reasons but that Porsche handling is awesome.

Keep my "16 SS until 2023/24 or whenever the last mo/yr camaro may be then buy a slightly used 2023/24 ZL1 and keep that for another 8-10 years.

Should keep me occupied until at least 2030ish

They are out to protect the 911. If my Cayman had 475-500 hp, I’d still have it. You just can’t beat the feeling when you put your foot into that LT4.

I was going to say the same thing. I think this looks turbo to me.

I finally go got my ZL1 /1LE and I'm done ! One classic car, and one advance model/up to date, and a super high performance sportbike ! And hopefully a new shop in the future with a bike table and a lift ! I dont care how much hp cars make, or how fast they get this is more that enough for a almost 50 year old to play around with on the back roads and occasionally track outings !

Turbocharged 4-bangers are not considered for the sake of this discussion.
Porsches have 6 cylinder engines. Older ones are allowed air cooled 4 cylinders.

Turbocharged 4-bangers are for VWs.

BAHahaha.. Met a guy at the track with brand new Cayman. He was embarrassed about his 4 cylinder and said he wished for a 6. Now I see this really is a thing. You Porsche guys.

Unless I crash mine by the time the car's really for the scrap yard I'll be on a fixed income so last fancy car for me :(

That guy was an idiot. The turbo 4 runs way better than the naturally aspirated 6 ever did.
