Oil leak? Oil pan gasket leak?

Was looking over my engine bay and spotted this. Sometimes ill smell some oil here and there lingering but its really minor

If it's not marking the driveway or using oil between oil changes, I personally wouldn't be concerned about fixing it unless I was pulling it apart already... That is pretty minor IMHO

Did you have a cam installed or was there before you? I did few years ago and I believe the shop loosened my oil pan to get to oil pump and I’ve had a little drip from front of pan for awhile now. I just clean it every so often and not worry about it.

Yeah, unless it's spotting I would just keep an eye on it.

Being OC, I save big pieces of cardboard and keep them full length under the car in the shop just to identify if any leaks start. So far so good.

yep thats exactly what happened. did hci and upgraded my oil pump to a melling.

it seems like the sealant used with the gasket got a little messy

anyways thanks for the reinsurance!

Yea as said, I wouldn't worry about it until it gets all over the bottom of the pan and starts dripping bad under the car. Then you have a problem.
