AWE Touring axle back VS Corsa NPP axle back

Which is the better exhaust? Just bought a 23 zl1 as my daily and I'm looking to make it a little louder. I like the idea of keeping the valves, but I have a feeling ill have the valves open 99% of the time so not sure which option to go with. I want to keep my warranty, so I don't need anyone telling me to keep the stock suitcase and buy headers. If anyone is selling either of these systems let me know as I'd prefer to buy used to save some money. Thanks

I chose the Corsa with NPP because retaining NPP was important to me. I know a lot of people will say that you keep the valves open most of the time, and that's largely true. That said, there are some very specific circumstance where I really like the NPP functionality - 1) Being able to start up in stealth mode early in the morning, and 2) Putting the exhaust in Touring mode when I come home late at night. I thought the NPP option was pretty slick so I didn't want to sacrifice it. The Corsa is expensive so I was glad to find a lightly used system from a forum member who happened to live in my area.

Agreed. While the AWE has great sound and nicest tips out there, if you have NPP I’d go with a brand that keeps the valves like Corsa or Borla. For us non-NPP guys, the AWE is a slam dunk.

Keep in mind the valves will still close at times in sport/track mode. One of the most annoying things about this platform imo. I paid extra to have the valves on my stainless works and ended up pulling the fuse anyway...so get what you think sounds best, or when you go farther into the modding have that fixed in the tune. Good luck with your choice!

In track mode, the valves only close under low load, low rpm conditions aka highway cruising. Do you really want to have a louder interior space at 1500 rpm and 15% throttle?

I might as well remove my radio as I only like to hear my exhaust.

I have Corsa NPP and I tuned my valve settings so Track never closes under any condition, Sport only closes in 8th gear(A8), Touring is closed in all conditions below 4500 rpm, Snow/Ice closed under all conditions.

I prefer NPP because I like to be able to start the car with the valves closed on cold start. The Corsa is really tame with the valves closed.

I have AWE touring cat back, with secondary cat delete. Cold starts are the best if you have cool neighbors lol. Cruising around it's perfect and not really that loud but when you want to get on it a little, it sounds amazing but still inside car not that bad specially with windows up or just cracked. Outside the back...well that's another story

It sure does ! There's nothing like the sound of a rowdy cam with a proper exhaust.

This^! ....I used hit the "start" button and the garage door opener at the same time. Cold starts are awesome....but loud. That being said, I chose the AWE based on reviews, many of which mentioned that it was actually pretty tame when you're just cruising. Now sure....it's not quiet, but trust me, I do NOT like loud for the sake of being loud. Sound Quality, as well as no drone, and the ability to talk to my wife or a friend in the passenger seat is important. I'll do the AWE system again. Still....I get the draw of that stealth mode. Guess I'm just fortunate I don't ever need it that quiet.

Thanks. Here is how I tamed the sound inside.
