Hooker Blackheart headers

Hooker 70101326-RHKR - Blackheart Long Tube Headers

How would I go about installing these?

I understand Cat deletes exist, etc. I see Cat backs, the seller says he has an xpipe that he will throw in. I read on one of the threads that it has to connect up their full system.

Has anyone installed it with some sort of collector conversion?

I am new to modding cars, just want to know the options. Is there a comprehensive guide to all of the parts involved, matching them up, etc?
I am impartial to loudness, I simply want the performance upgrade. After watching some videos most suppliers provide a clamp to join to the stock exhaust. Is this true?
Thanks for any info!

Let You Tube guide you...

Might want to check fitment. Some of the headers don't fit so well in the space available.
That is half the battle!

You also have to be very careful to keep wiring far enough away from the heat released by the new headers. You may need to create space as well as add insulation. Replacing the wiring harnesses is not fun.

Your wasting time and money on those headers. GM did a good job on the stock exhaust manifolds and those shorty's aren't going to make but a few HP so save your money and spend it on mods that really make hp. Your first mod should be a Flex Fuel sensor and a tune if you have E85 available in your area, you'll make lots more HP with this mod then you'll ever installing shorty headers on your car. My Lt1 with 2300 Maggie, toohighpsi port injection and Rotofab made 707 rwhp/662 rwtq on the stock exhaust system. Since your new a modding do your home work on modding the Gen 6 Camaro, search and study before you spend a dime on it. There are many like me that have been on here since 2016 and I've been through about every mod you can imagine on both my Camaro's and C7 Corvette. Just sayin.

Exhaust is the last thing you should be looking at right now. First thing you should do is figure out how much money you have leftover after spending it on the fueling mods you need to get the power you're looking for.

So... how much power are you looking for?

Actually, headers was my first mod as it was the best bang for the buck in adding HP/Torque along with a flex fuel kit. First, OP needs to provide additional information (i.e. year of car, HP end goals, budget) so the forum can assist. Fueling mods not needed for most easy bolt ons unless the plans includes a forced induction/supercharger of choice.

There are so many new EPA regulations coming down in 2025. If its going to be a street car stay stock inspection will be very hard. That's why Chevy and Dodge picked 2024 as there last.

Well sorry guys didn't mean to leave the thread hanging,

Ended up going with a twin turbo kit. Big difference I know. It's a stock 2020 ss convertible and I'm focusing on purchasing fueling and possibly piston and rod drop in combo.

Also I am located in south Carolina so I think I'm in the clear, since we don't even do emissions here. I hope the regulations won't be like you say, EPA is a joke look at lithium mining.

Ok I don't want to step on anyone's plan....but if you were worried about how to Install headers and now are moving to a twin turbo setup then I am worried. Not only I there a plumbing nightmare but also a total reprogram of the ECM and feeling modification.

Hope I am not off base. In any case good luck and hope you venture is successful!
