Satellite Radio Renewal Tip ... Save $$$$

Here’s a tip on Satellite renewals. Don’t give the dealer your credit card info for the radio renewal when you take delivery of your car. Tell them you wish to be invoiced when the time comes. Otherwise, they will renew your service at a ridiculous amount, i.e. $200 – 300 for the next year on your card automatically. When you get the renewal invoice, call their customer service and tell them you want to cancel, tell them you will not pay $xxx for the service, but are willing to pay $90.00/yr and they can send you a new invoice stating this. Never give them a credit card number. I also tell them I won’t pay for the royalty fees either, terrestrial radio doesn’t charge these, so don’t pay for them. I’ve been doing this on my Malibu for the past 4 years and have never paid more than $90.00 including taxes. You’ll get some pushback from them, but stay firm. It works.

Excellent advise! I had to actually cancel my card to stop them from renewing. No way to do that online! Never again!!!

Went through this song & dance with XM Radio several years ago. They pushed real hard for a credit card but I refused. Back then the best price was $79 per year but I dropped the service due to poor reception.
Thanks for the current tip on dealing with them.

Actually, radio stations do have to pay the royalty fees every year. In return you get to listen to commercials that make the money to pay it. It's several grand a year in a medium market.

I pay $28 + fees every six months, $31.50 after fees.

It was actually only $25 + fees a couple years ago, but the price went up.

When they refuse to renew me at the $28, I say cancel it then.

They run off a list of excuses and complain, buf eventually they cave. Then they ask for a credit card.

I tell them to send me an invoice.

Solar Power within Transportation: Solar-Powered Vehicles and Infrastructure

Another essential reason to modify to solar technology may be the cost savings it offers. Solar energy panels are designed for generating electricity for businesses, reducing or eliminating the necessity for traditional resources of energy. This will probably lead to significant savings on energy bills, particularly in areas with a high energy costs. Furthermore, there are many government incentives and tax credits open to companies that adopt solar technology, which makes it a lot more cost-effective and affordable.

The technology behind solar technology is relatively simple, yet highly effective. Solar energy panels are made of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight into electricity. This electricity are able to be kept in batteries or fed straight into the electrical grid, depending on the specific system design. In order to maximize some great benefits of solar technology, you should design a custom system this is certainly tailored to your unique energy needs and requirements. This can make sure that you have the proper components in place, such as the appropriate number of solar power panels plus the right sort of batteries, to maximize your power efficiency and value savings.
