You should also check all gaps including hood, bumper, fenders, trunk, rear quarter, fuel door, etc.

OP, cars can get damaged during transport to the dealer. Just because the car only has 8 miles on it is of no importance. If the cost of repair is below a certain percentage of the msrp, the dealer is not legally required to disclose it. Unless someone sees their car being unloaded from the truck, there is no way of being certain that it didn't suffer damage before delivery.

I did before and there is only one thing that bothers me. On my rear passenger quarter panel where it joins with the other piece, it seems like they were forced together TOO MUCH and there is no gap or room for anything. The paint is a little "chippy" there I suppose, but only to my OCD eye I believe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another question... Would this be a simple repair that they could do while I wait? Or would they keep the car? It's not a very HIGH TRAFFIC dealership. Small town, ya know. I don't want a rental and this is my only car. Kinda need it.

For me the easiest way to find faults in a paint/body work is to hand wash the car and then wax the car buy hand. You will feel every blemish with your fingertips. Mark those areas with blue masking tape.

Hi Kleeeb,
I would definitely take it into the dealership to have them realign the door. If you would like us to give them a call prior to your visit, let us know! We can get a case set up for you in our system and also find out how long the process will take. Let us know if you we can help! Have a great weekend, Kelly J. Chevrolet Customer Care |

Did this ever get resolved by the dealer?

Actually the adjustment is made at the striker point on the car not the door. It needs to be loosened and moved in.
