Congrats on the new ride. I also picked up a 5th gen last month...L99 and I must admit I don't mind the automatic. I drive in Austin rush hour traffic every day so it was a no-brainer.

I just slapped a C.A.I. intake setup on it and will be getting a dynosteve tune in it this week...according to an overwhelming number of folks on this forum it will really make the car come alive...I can't wait to see for myself.

Which intake did you get and I've done some reading on dynosteve but how does it all work? I was thinking to take mine to TX Speed when that time comes but am open to other options.

Ah sorry I should be more specific. C.A.I. is abbreviation for Cold Air Inductions, it's a company that pretty much only makes intakes lol. I got mine for a great deal through RDP (that's dynosteve). Not a fan of TSP (been at this awhile and they never fail to disappoint) and there aren't too many folks around here that can tune a 6L80e worth a damn. Nelson Performance is good at it but they lock their tunes. I went with dynosteve because he offers lifetime re-tunes for future modifications free of charge. With basic bolt on cars I'm super comfortable with a remote tuner when they're knowledgeable. Dyno tunes are ok but I don't see the point on a simple bolt on setup.

For basic stuff the remote tune does a wonder. And with Steve you don't pay for re-tunes due to future mods say Headers etc. A dyno tune will cost you the same again if you upgrade to Headers in the future.

A pile of us here are running his tunes with great success. Very nice car OP congrats! Answered your PM btw....

So pretty when they're clean, and then you turn away for a second and the damn thing is dirty again without having even gone anywhere. I don't miss those days. lol
