Color for my rims

I’ve been thinking of getting my rims powder coated. I can’t decide if I should get them gloss black or satin black. What do you guys think. I’m leaning more on the gloss black side.

Gloss stripes, use gloss. Matte stripes, use matte.

Gloss black will look better, but your current rims look nice.

Your current rims are already looking classy. But I think black gloss is the right contrast. White could also be tried to get a unique look.

Powder coated electron rims...?
Does the baking temperature of the color not change the crystal lattice of the material?

The firing temperature is up to 200 °C

I've never heard of any problems caused by powder coating with regular powder (180-200 degrees C).

If it's a concern there are powders that work at lower temps.

Gloss, you could plastic coat them and see if you like the color. Then you could peel it off and have them powder coated

I’ve been going back and forth on Matte or gloss but I’ve talked to some people on the forum and they’ve showed me pictures of their Camaros that are almost identical to mine and I think I’m going to go gloss black. Now I just have to wait for that money to come in.

I never tried it.
I suggested this once and there was talk of a possible embrittlement of the material due to the high temperature.

So I lost interest in it.
But thank you for the information

The ONLY thing you need to think about is the maintenance of gloss rims... the brake dust is so bad on mine that my semi-gloss rims look good only after I clean them, and after the first couple trips, they look matte. Now, you can do things to help protect the rims from getting all of the dust on them but if you're not ready to do that, then maybe matte might be the way to go. I have ZL1 rims and they are a PAIN to clean as well.
