Anybody Know Anything About MY '12 #1335? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Got a question for you ZL1 afficianados...cruising online, looking to bump up to a ZL1. Came across MY '12, #1335 for sale, Jimmie Johnson Chevy in Charlotte can work a transfer to JJ Chevy in San Diego. 2094 miles, GBA, manual. Originally sold in So. Carolina. Do any of you remember any "oh my God" bad news about subject ZL1?

Its not listed under the ZL1 registration so a camaro5 user most likely didn't own it. Hopefully the sale works out!

Thank you...just getting as much info as I can. The ad had the ZL1 Certificate displayed. Might be hard to pull off without getting my hands on it first.

Accident on carfax... the price should be significantly lower than a ZL1 with a clean record. It may not bother you, but it may make it extremely difficult for you to sell the car down the road. I'm sure aware of that, but people that buy a ZL1 tend to be very particular people

It's not listed over on 'Zl1 registry . com' either

Thanks everyone for bringing me back down to Earth. The price looked good, but in reality maybe a bigger headache. CarFax lists that is has an accident...not how much or what damage was. The price was actually close for $4000 below blue book. Talked to the dealership...could be a line of smoke, but they say the rear bumper was replaced, no frame damage, all factory warranties (B2B, drivetrain) still valid. Thanks...guess I gotta keep looking.

Use the same black book that the dealers use. About 4000.00 less than Kelly blue book to begin with.

Man, I don't know about that one, but if you want to get away from it and look some more, there have been a couple of low mileage ZL1's go by here(this forum) for sale and a '12 left a dealer two hours from me two weeks ago and went to auction. I don't know how to find it, you could call Cooper Chevrolet in Anniston, AL and see if they know where it went.

But I think another option could present itself, should you feel uncomfortable about this one.

Thanks, I'm gonna pass on this one. Probably go with a '13 new anyway. No telling what was done to this car. Thanks for the input!

There is one here in Chicagoland, Phillips Chevy, 2012 auto, CRM, black interior, 2300 miles. I think their asking around $57K, could be had for $55K. I drove it, looks & feels good.
