Wheel Shaking

I have a 12 2ss manual. It has 92k miles I just got new wheels and got them balanced twice now. They said the wheels were fine and the wheel likes to shake bad around 50-70mph. any ideas. its not rotors because it doesnt happen when i just brake.

What’s size wheels and tires? If you ran a wider tire than your wheel that can happen.

I have occasionally had problems with inexpensive china made wheels. Not sure what you have, but it makes sense the problem didn't start until you replaced the wheels.

They probably aren't balanced properly. I went through that a couple of times, they found the weights were placed in the wrong spot on the wheel. Did they do a "road force" balance?

Mine does the exact same thing. I'm going to try road force balancing next. My wheels are Niche Milans. Running 275 front 315 rear.

Ask them when’s the last time they calibrated their balancer according to the manufacturer’s procedures. An electronic balancer that’s out of calibration will indicate the wrong correction weight in the wrong location. (Angle) In other words, it’s not properly balanced, though it tells them it is.
