Spotted today. Shattered Fog Light on a Honda Fit.

Low slung glass fog light + stone or road debris + no Headlight Armor fog light protection = shattered fog light. While our fog light protection film applications can't protect from everything (hit something large enough going fast enough and the lens will fail) but it will go a long long way toward the lens surviving to live another day. Are your lights protected?

Get the look you always wanted and protection for your lights too! Lighting kits are available in available in HID Blue, GT Yellow, 3 smoked levels + clear just for protection.

Going bold today with a Porsche 996 911 that was in for a racy update.

Headlight Armor GT Yellow Headlight Protection film was applied to the cars aging headlights. Bold pop of yellow GT3 Class headlights + protection from track and road debris. Adding our headlight protection film even helped clear up the headlights as the adhesive does fill in some of the surface issues resulting in a clearer headlight. Like the transformation?

Headlight Armor Lighting Protection Film kits are available in available in HID Blue, GT Yellow, 3 smoked levels + clear just for protection.

Customer Install shot for your Tuesday!

Chevrolet Camaro SS - with ZL1 grill and our Headlight Armor Smoked Lighting Protection Film.

The ZL1 has a different fog light than the LS and SS trims. Customer wanted all the lights at the front smoked and contacted us. We subbed the standard fogs for the D shaped ones that came in the ZL1 package and the customer installed them. Look good.

Get the look you always wanted and protection for your lights too! Lighting kits are available in available in HID Blue, GT Yellow, 3 smoked levels + clear just for protection.

Cruising trough a hectic week. As of Wednesday evening, all orders in by noon Wednesday have shipped. From this weeks shipments USPS is about 1 day behind normal deliver times to all of the USA save CA. CA is running about 2 days behind normal even to areas not directly in the numerous wild fire areas. A lot of systemic challenges there.

We have fielded a number of questions recently on uv exposure / hazing / fading / clarity issues on polycarbonate headlights.Modern headlights come with a hard uv coating from the factory. These coatings are much better that they were decades ago as manufacturers transitioned to composite headlights. If you took a brand new headlight and placed it in the sun the uv is not going to have much effect on the lens in any useful time frame.

The most likely reason your headlight will fog up / did fog up is not usually do to UV on its own. All headlights come with a hard protective UV coating from the factory. The problem starts when you drive your vehicle without a lighting protection film applied to the lights. Over time sand and road debris chip the hard coating the headlights came with and the sun starts to break down the polycarbonate. This process happens slowly, little by little. So slow you don’t notice it until it is too late.

If you then sand down and polish the lamp and return the clarity you must protect the lamp from both exposure to the atmosphere and UV otherwise you will have the fogginess return. While you could use some sort of polymer sealant they typically do not last that long and of course will do nothing again further pitting – and pitting was the root cause of the cloudy / foggy lens.

Your best course of action is to protect the lens with our Headlight Armor lighting protection kits!

As always, if you have any questions about our Headlight Protection Film applications let us know. Thanks again for your support!
