89 gas ok?

with the setup i have (stated in sig) i been running 89 gas..
is this ok or to much for my car?? the tips of my mrt v2 has a little bit of black on them i didnt know if it was running rich or lean or w/e

You really only need to run 87.

But not like 89 hurts anything.

Tips should be clean, try changing brands.
I only run 87 and get up to 33MPG.

that's a first. everyone i've ever ran into, or posted on these forums say they get black soot on their tips as well.

89 is fine. lots of folks run premium, like myself.

Ethanol is causing the black soot!! Just alot a carbon from the engine!! Thus the reason I hate that gas has ethanol in it at all!!!!
